A LaGrange man died this morning from injuries sustained when his truck collided with a tree.
According to police, Lester Simmons, 70, of LaGrange was headed north on Bartley Road and was approaching a curve near Bagley Road when his truck crossed the center lane onto the opposite side of the road and struck a tree. A witness traveling behind Simmons made the call to 911 at 6:26 am. Simmons was later pronounced dead at the West Georgia Medical Center.
