School bus, vehicle collide

A school bus carrying three LaGrange High School students was involved in a collission with another vehicle on New Franklin Road near Waugh Road about 8 this morning. No students on the bus were injured, but paramedics took two or three people from the car to West Georgia Medical Center. Details were unavailable.

Cars damaged after wrong-way turn

Four vehicles were damaged after a woman turned onto the one-way portion of Lafayette Square heading in the wrong direction in front of Quiznos Subs on Monday afternoon. Avoiding oncoming traffic from Main Street, she drove to the side of the street and struck the rear of a parked car, which produced a domino effect on two other cars parked beside it. No one was injured.

Burglaries, thefts

— Three gas heaters with a total value of $1,100 were stolen from a residence in the 400 block of Hogansville Road.

— Police said a woman stole headlights from a tow truck and walked down East Lukken Industrial Drive before dropping them. The owner of Bless Auto at 226 E. Lukken Industrial Drive decided not to press charges.

Woman threatened with shotgun

Troup County sheriff’s deputies accused a man of pushing his girlfriend and threatening her with a shotgun Sunday night in the 800 block of Patillo Road. The man threw the gun to the ground when confronted by deputies. He was charged with simple battery.

Vandalism

— A woman accused a relative of causing $5,000 damage to her residence in the 100 block of East Mount Zion Road. Items damaged included walls, doors, a bed post and a 52-inch flat-screen TV.

— A vandal repeatedly struck a car in the 400 block of Glen Robertson with an unknown object, causing nearly $1,000 damage.

Arrests

Dustin Keegan, 28, of Pine Grove Court was charged with possession of Xanax and Soma after a sheriff’s deputy stopped his vehicle on Pine Grove Court. The drugs were found in clear plastic bottles in the back of his car, the deputy said.
