A Franklin man said he was robbed and beaten after paying a man to drive him home, he told police Friday.

The victim said he paid a man $60 to take him to his Franklin home some time after midnight and the man drove him to Carver and Tower streets, then went inside a house, asking the victim to stay in the vehicle. That’s when the victim said three other men “blindsided him” and they and the driver beat him, causing his nose to bleed, until he ran to hide in some bushes.

After waiting up to an hour, the victim said he went to a residence on Whitesville Street to call police. Police gave the victim a ride to his mother’s home in LaGrange.
