A Franklin man said he was robbed and beaten after paying a man to drive him home, he told police Friday.
The victim said he paid a man $60 to take him to his Franklin home some time after midnight and the man drove him to Carver and Tower streets, then went inside a house, asking the victim to stay in the vehicle. After waiting up to an hour, the victim said he went to a residence on Whitesville Street to call police. Police gave the victim a ride to his mother’s home in LaGrange.
