Thefts, Burglaries

• A woman in the 200 block of West Lake View Drive said that someone stole a blue 9 foot Otter kayak valued at $400 from her residence.

• An employee of Piedmont Mechanical in the 100 block of Cooley Industrial Way said someone broke into the business and stole a .22 pistol valued at $100, $500 in U.S currency, a Dell laptop 1700 Vostro laptop valued at $1,800, a silver MacBook Air valued at $850 and a 2000 Ford F250 valued at $5,000 was stolen from outside.

Identity Thefts

• A man said that someone has electronically stolen money from his father’s accounts and made payments for $1,253 to pay a Capital One Card, $2,300 to pay on a GM card service, $5,174.35 to pay a Wells Fargo card, $53.26 to pay Sou Cal, $184.33 to pay Charter, $200.20 to pay Verizon, $684.11 to pay Sprint, $111.16 to pay Charter, and $90 to an unknown. There were also three transactions for $7,386.86, $5,034.12, and $3,606.44 that were stopped before the payment was made.
