A man was struck in the head and face with an object while walking in the 100 block of Dix Street.
According to police reports, the man was on Dix Street when he was struck from behind with a pipe. The victim was bleeding from the face when he made the call to 911 from a nearby residence.
He was taken to the West Georgia Medical Center for evaluation.
Police are investigating the incident and have a potential suspect identified. No arrest has been made at this time.
