Arrests made in drug raid

A West Point police drug investigation resulted in two arrests and the seizure of cocaine and $7,200 at a residence in the 1200 block of Grant Court.

Corey McCullough, 23, and LaSonya Murphy, 24, both of West Point, were charged with possession of cocaine within 1,000 feet of a housing authority and of a playground, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of a drug-related object.

A police dog from the Troup County Sheriff’s Department found the drugs Thursday morning.

Burglaries, thefts

— A thief damaged the front door of a residence in the 300 block of Willowood Road and stole an air-conditioning unit valued at $350.

— A LaGrange man accused his ex-girlfriend of forging $4,040 in checks in his name from mid-January until mid-March at the Happy Stop at 2911 Hamilton Road. No arrest was made.

Vandalism

A vandal scratched obscenities on a car in the 500 block of Hill Street.

Arrest

West Point police charged Kizzie Magby, 23, of West Point with aggravated stalking and aggravated assault.
