Mrs. Irene Butler, 80, of LaGrange, passed away Sunday, December 30, 2012, at LaGrange, Nursing and Rehab.
Mrs. Butler was born May 20, 1932 in Blount County, Alabama, the daughter of the late Enoch Franklin Dingler and Lillie Bell McGiness Dingler. She was a member of the East Vernon Baptist Church, and had worked at Playtex for a number of years, and enjoyed being a housewife.
Survivors include six daughters, Willema Little, of Boaz, Al., Jean(Charle) Reynolds of Shiloh, Ga., Patsy (Danny) Tilson of LaGrange, Brenda (Roy) Stodghill of LaGrange, Vida (James) Duke of Pine Mountain, and Jacqueline (Mark) Wilson of LaGrange, 20 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Butler, three grandchildren, Chad Everrett Looney, Larry Hall, Michael David Duke, and several sisters and brothers.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 3, 2013 at the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with Bro. David Reagan officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 6:00 until 8:00.
