Four arrested in connection to burglaries

Sheriff’s investigators have arrested four people in connection with several residential burglaries in Troup County.

Those charged are Cahlen Janney, 29; Kendra Palmer, 24; Zachary Rahn, 22; and Sara Janney, 36, all of Hogansville. All suspects were arrested in the last few weeks and all but Cahlen Janney had bonded out of the jail, said Sgt. Mike Caldwell. Investigators recovered some of the stolen items from the suspects and seized a car used in one of the burglaries, Caldwell said.

Thefts, Burglaries

•An employee said that someone stole a locked 1980 Chevy Camaro Z-28 from Auction Way Company on Hogansville Road. The car was later recovered by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office and had been stripped and burned.

•A man said that someone stole a Bushnell trail camera model MP valued at $300 that was mounted on the entrance of the land he leases near Sewon Boulevard.

•A woman in the first block of Horseshoe Bend in West Point said that someone stole a HP laptop valued at $1,200 form her unlocked 2002 Ford Expedition.

•A woman in t he 1200 block of Bartley Road said someone stole an engagement ring valued at $700 from her residence.

•A man in the 4000 block of Old West Point Road said that someone stole his black 1996 Chevy Tahoe valued at $10,000.

Damages

•A man in the 800 block of Greenville Street said that someone scratched his 2005 Saturn Rely van all the way around, gouging down to the metal and causing $2,500 in damage.

•A man in the 100 block of John Lovelace Road said that someone caused $500 in damage to his 1997 Chevrolet Silverado.

•A man in the 400 block of Sivell Road said that someone cut the back passenger tire of his Mazda truck. The tire was valued at $125.
