Thanking former boss for opportunity

Dear Editor,

Today is the day I have waited for. The elections are over and the campaigners are gone. I hope people will believe what I say is the truth.

What I am writing is my opinion and my opinion only.

I worked for West Point Stevens for over 40 years. A man could not have prayed for a better company to work for and gotten a better one. During this time, I saw numerous management personnel come and go.

I soon learned the worst mistake management could make was that of showing favoritism. Most all of the management did this to some degree.

We heard of a new man that was coming to our department. Rumor was he was mean and hard. Soon after his arrival, I learned that all he wanted was for everyone to do their job. It didn’t matter to him what kind of shoes you wore.

I would like to thank Mr. Gary Wood for allowing me the opportunity to work for the most honest and straightforward man I have ever known.

When I was a child, my daddy always told me, “Son, if you don’t see it, don’t believe it.” Well, I saw it.
