Ida L. Ball, 92, of LaGrange, formerly of Keyser, WV, died Saturday, March 21, 2009 at West Georgia Medical Center.

Born on January 26, 1917 at Newburg, WV, she was the daughter of the late Charles Harra Moon and Daisy Catherine (Virts) Moon. She also was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Robert Ball on September 30, 1995 and by two brothers, Hugh and Faye Moon.

Mrs. Ball was retired as a clerk and cashier at Sites’ Peoples Pharmacy in Keyser with 31 years of service. She was a 1935 graduate of Newburg High School and was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Keyser and Alkire Chapter # 10, Order of the Eastern Star, Keyser.

Surviving are two sons, Richard A. Ball and wife Helen of Morgantown, WV and Charles R. Ball and wife Barbara of LaGrange; four grandchildren, Charles David Ball of Virginia Beach, VA, Mike Ball of Fairmont, WV, Julie Small of Atlanta, and Susan Nicole Teaver of LaGrange and eight great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Thursday, March 26, 2009 from 5-7 p.m.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Smith Funeral Home, Keyser Chapel, on Friday, March 27, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Vickie Minnich officiating.

Interment will be in the Damon Cemetery, Newburg, WV.
