Rachel Robertson Chambers, 88 of Pine Mountain, GA died Saturday, February 23, 2013, at LaGrange Hospice House, LaGrange, GA.

Funeral services for Mrs. Chambers will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, February 27, 2013, at the Pine Mountain First United Methodist Church with burial in the Pine Mountain City Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday evening at the funeral home.

Mrs. Chambers was born January 6, 1925, in Heard County, GA the daughter of Aticus Haygood Robertson and Clide Barker Robertson. She was a retired bank teller with Wachovia Bank. Mrs. Chambers was a member of the Pine Mountain First United Methodist Church and the Chipley’s Womans Club for many years.

She is survived by her husband James M. Chambers, Jr. of Pine Mountain; sons: James David Chambers of Pine Mountain and Richard Paul Chambers, Sr. and his wife Angela of Mountville, GA; grandson: Richard P. Chambers, Jr. and his wife Marisa and their children Isabella and Isaiah all of Newnan; and granddaughter: Jacqueline McGraw and her husband Sam and their children: Zoe, Malachi and Ezra all of LaGrange.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be given in memory of Mrs. Rachel Chambers to the Pine Mountain First United Methodist Church or LaGrange Hospice.
