Monday was a washout.

The Troup High and LaGrange High baseball teams were both supposed to play on Monday, but the games were postponed because of rain.

The games have both been rescheduled.

Troup was set to host Harris County on Monday, but the two teams will instead play on Saturday\at 5:30 p.m. at Troup.

LaGrange was scheduled to visit Brookstone on Monday, and that game has been re-scheduled for next Monday at 5 p.m. in Columbus.

All the local teams moved their practices indoors on Monday.

“We had a quick indoor practice,” Troup head coach Craig Garner said. “It went well.”

LaGrange head coach Todd Herrington said earlier this season that bad weather is a fact of life this time of year.

So far this season teams have had to deal with rain, wind, plenty of cold weather, and even a few snow flurries.

“You better expect (bad weather),” Herrington said. “If not, you’re going to be like, oh gosh, what do I do? It’s already anticipated that that’s going to happen.”

LaGrange’s next regularly-scheduled games will be on Saturday for a doubleheader at Opelika (Ala.).

LaGrange will play Fernandina Beach (Fla.) at 11 a.m. before facing Opelika at 4 p.m.

Troup, meanwhile, will visit East Coweta on Wednesday and Central-Phenix City on Thursday before hosting Harris County on Saturday.
