The LaGrange High soccer teams pushed Carrollton to the limit on Tuesday, but they each lost by the slimmest of margins.

The Lady Grangers lost 2-1 in overtime, and the Grangers lost by the same 2-1 score in the final game.

In the girls’ game, it looked liked it was headed for penalty kicks, but Carrollton’s Anna Camp scored with just five seconds left in the second five-minute overtime to give the home team the win.

The game was scoreless at the half, and Emily Adams gave Carrollton a 1-0 lead with a goal six minutes into the second half.

With 16:41 left in regulation, LaGrange got even when Cassidy Kemp split the defense and scored her 17th goal of the season.

Neither team scored again in regulation, and it was on to overtime.

The first five-minute overtime came and went without a goal, and it looked like the story was going to be the same in the second five-minute overtime, but with the ball bouncing around in the box, Camp managed to squeeze the ball into the net.

In the boys’ game, Abel Perez scored a pair of first-half goals to give the Trojans a two-goal cushion, and they made that lead stand up.

The Grangers got a goal from James Hutton with about 10 minutes left in the first half, but they were unable to deliver the tying goal.
