LaGrange Rotary Club annual benefit golf tournament
The LaGrange Rotary Club’s third Annual Benefit Golf Tournament is today at the Highland Country Club. Teams of four are welcome to register for $300, or individuals may register for $90 and be added to a team. Prizes will be offered for the top two teams, hole-in-one, putting contest, longest drive, plus closest to the pin. Lunch, drinks and door prizes will be available. Proceeds benefit the LaGrange Rotary Youth Challenge Program. Sponsors and golfers are still being accepted through Sunday. True Life chili sale
True Life Christian Ministries, 500 S. Lee St., hosts a chili sale at noon April 13 to benefit the church’s youth department activities. A $5 donation is requested. For more information, contact Delois Leslie at 706-402-3040.
Relay for Life 20th Anniversary
The American Cancer Society will host the 20th Anniversary Relay For Life of Troup County on April 26 and 27 at Whitesville Road Track. Teams may register at www.relayforlife.org/troupga. LaGrange Art Museum presents Art N’ Bloom
The LaGrange Art Museum hosts Art N’ Bloom, a benefit event and spring celebration combining fresh flowers and fine art with a high tea and a floral celebration that will take place in two parts. The first, a high tea and demonstration, will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. at Highland Country Club on May 2. Ladies are invited to wear hats. The second, a two-day floral interpretation of the museum’s permanent collection will take place at the art museum May 3 through May 4, with the Art N’ Bloom interpretation reception on May 3 at 7 p.m. Money raised will go toward museum operations and programs.
