Police responded to an altercation between a man and his girlfriend in the 300 block of Whitesville Street on Wednesday night that led to two arrests.

The woman told an officer that her boyfriend had punched her, cheated on her and sold drugs. At that time, another woman and her boyfriend walked from a residence across the street and threatened the man. The officer drew a Taser and told the other woman to stop. The first man then charged the woman’s boyfriend, who had crossed the street and punched him. The victim raised his hands in the air and yelled for the officer to use his Taser.

The officer reported using “considerable force” to subdue the man and charged him and the woman who threatened him with disorderly conduct.
