Laptop, phone stolen from dorm
A LaGrange College student said a thief stole his laptop computer valued at $1,200 and a cell phone battery from his Henry Dormitory room Sunday morning.
The student reported seeing a suspicious older-looking man dressed in a white tank top and plaid shorts walking around the dorm about 12:25 a.m. The man knocked on the student’s door and asked to use his cell phone. After he finished his phone call and left, the student briefly went to visit a friend. When he returned about 15 minutes later, he noticed the items missing. The student then called the number that the man had dialed on the cell phone and discovered it to be a fake number.
No arrest was made.
