Brick crashes through window, hits woman

A woman said she was sitting in her living room in the 500 block of South Lewis Street when a brick hurled by an unidentified person damaged a window and struck her foot Monday night.

The rear window of the woman’s convertible outside also was damaged by a brick. The total damage was estimated at $2,200.

The woman declined medical treatment.

Woman accuses relative of burglary

A resident of the first block of Thornton Street said a relative broke into her house Monday night and stole $650 of clothing from her bedroom. Police found a damaged side window of the bedroom where a dresser previously blocking it was pushed aside for entry. The woman said the relative also burglarized her in the past when she lived on Fourth Avenue.

Burglaries, thefts

— A resident of the 3600 block of Dallas Mill Road said a thief broke into his house and stole an electric saw and a cordless drill.

— A thief stole two chain saws from a garage in the 700 block of Turkey Point Drive.

Forged checks

A LaGrange woman reported two forged checks totaling $162 in her incarcerated daughter’s name Monday morning. She said the checks were written at Kroger at 203 Commerce Ave. in February. The checks led to overdraft charges, leaving her daughter’s account $550 overdrawn, the woman said.

Wreck

A LaGrange woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at the intersection South Davis Road and Plantation Way.

Rebecca Martin, 21, of Bonaventure Drive was treated at West Georgia Medical Center and re-leased. Martin was northbound on Davis Road about 4:03 p.m. Sunday when another vehicle failed to yield at a stop sign on Plantation Way near Tractor Supply Co. and struck her red Chevrolet Century, police said.

The other driver, Tammy Harris, 43, of Chipley-Mountville Road was cited for failure to yield.

Arrests

— Jennifer Cleveland, 22, of Nantucket Drive was charged with two counts of first-degree forgery, two counts of second-degree forgery, possession of cocaine, theft by receiving stolen property and theft by taking more than $500.

— Thomas Ellis, 24, of Hogansville was charged with forced entry burglary of a residence.

— Christopher Robertson, 18, of Barnard Avenue was charged with computer theft and theft by taking more than $500.

— Melissa Ellison, 30, of Bartley Road was charged with two counts of forced entry burglary of a residence.
