Mrs. Wood, a native of Heard County, was born August 21, 1937 and was the daughter of the late Willie B. and Annie Ray Greene.She gave her life to Christ at an early age. She was married to the late Roy Wood Jr.One son, Rickey Wood, was born to this union.
Survivors include her son, Rickey Wood (Alice Porter, a special friend); four grandchildren, Juanita Dunson, Lisa Dunson, Bryan Almon, and Jessica Gould, all of Franklin; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters, Janatte (Jackie) Crawford, Dayton, Ohio; Dorothy Rogers, Franklin; four brothers, Jimmy Greene, Danny Greene, David Greene, and Riley (Faye) Greene, all of Franklin; many nieces, nep-hews, cousins and friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers.
The funeral service will be Tuesday at 2:00 PM at the Stateline Baptist Church in Glenn. Rev. W. T. Edmondson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at the home of her son, Rickey Wood at 211 Young Road in Franklin.
Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
