Mrs. Smith, a native of LaGrange, was born October 16, 1946 and was the daughter of the late Mary L. Hale Rolland and George (‘Jack’) Rolland.She was a 1964 graduate of Ethel W. Kight High School and attended West Georgia Technical School where she studied nursing. She was a dedicated employee of Florence Hand Home for many years.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of LaGrange.
Survivors include her children, Jarrod (Anita) Smith, Valley, Ala; Steve (Renee) Smith, Riverdale; Marcus Smith, LaGrange; Willie (Stacey) Smith, LaGrange; Lakita (Samuel) Hines, LaGrange; Elenora Smith, LaGrange; sisters, Shirley Maddox, LaGrange; Joyce Rolland, Columbus; brothers, Roger Rolland, LaGrange; Bobby Rolland, LaGrange; brother and sisters-in-law: Jerry Wayne Smith, Wanita Wilson, Ira Smith, all of Atlanta; eighteen grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie E. Smith in 1999.
The funeral service will be Thursday at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on South Davis Road. Brother Forrest Cofield will officiate. Burial will be in the Southview Cemetery.
The family will at their home at 303 Butler Street.
Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
