School board fills administrative posts

The Troup County school board Thursday filled six administrative positions for the upcoming school year.

Memory “Ree” Snellgrove, a teacher at Troup High School and previously at Callaway High, was named assistant principal at Troup.

An employee of the school system since 1997, she has a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration and an educational specialist degree in leadership and administration, both from Troy State University.

Louis Barnett, who was named registrar at West Side Magnet School, had been music teacher at Cannon Street and Mountville elementary schools. An em-ployee of the school system since 1991, he has an educational leadership degree from the State University of West Georgia.

Deborah Dunn was named registrar at Callaway Middle School, having previously served as the school’s graduation coach. She earned a master’s degree in leadership and administration from Troy State University, and has been a teacher at LaGrange, Callaway, Greenville and Newnan high schools.

Dannette Walls and Victoria Walker, both instructional specialists, will switch schools. Walls will go to Whitesville Road Elementary and Walker to Cannon Street Elementary.
