The decision was based on a traffic study done by police Lt. Del Armstrong and several complaints made by Ragland Street residents at council’s Thursday afternoon meeting. Armstrong said the area needs a flashing light and a “do not enter” sign at the exit of Shuford Fields.
Complaints about the area stemmed from heavy traffic during baseball games at the nearby George Harris Baseball Complex.

The two also were accused in September of operating illegal gambling machines at the former AK Food Mart on Whitesville Street.
