Mrs. Jones, a native of Harris County, was born April 11, 1959 and was the last child born to Morris Jr. and Marion Tucker. She joined Smith Chapel United Methodist Church at an early age and worked faithfully until moving to Illinois.After returning to Pine Mountain, she returned to Smith Chapel and continued working. She was a 1976 graduate of Harris County High School in Hamilton and attended Tuskegee Institute, Tuskegee, Alabama. She previously worked at Callaway Gardens and Hughes Aircraft and was also employed in Wheaton, Illinois.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Jones; father, Morris N. Tucker Jr., Pine Mountain; brothers, Charlie M. (Roberta -deceased) Tucker, Pine Mountain; Rev. Willie H. (Nettie) Tucker, Pine Mountain; Nathaniel (Patricia) Tucker, Powder Springs; Marvin (Teresa) Tucker, LaGrange; Robert (Mary) Coverson, Pine Mountain; George Tucker, Pine Mountain; Arthur Nelson, LaGrange; Henry Lee Tucker, Pine Mountain; Kenny (Angela) Walker, Manchester; one sister, Bessie Mae Maddox, LaGrange; brothers-in-law, Anthony Jones, Waverly Hall, Ga.; Casey Jones, LaGrange; sisters-in-law, Sharon (John) Thomas, Columbus; Norma J.Jones, Lawrenceville; step-children, Natasha Jones, Chicago, Ill.; Shanthony Dunlap, Cataula, Ga.; many caring nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marion Tucker; sisters, India M. Hutchinson and Marie McKee; and stepson, Larry Jones Jr.
The funeral service will be Monday at 2:00 PM at the Smith Chapel United Methodist Church in Pine Mountain. Rev. Julian Warner Sr. will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at their home.
