A retired Air Force B-52 pilot, Bill proudly served his country for 20 years as a decorated officer and veteran of Operation Desert Storm. Following his military career, Bill later retired from USAA and joined the Verizon Fios team. He is remembered for his sense of duty, untiring work ethic, dry wit, passion for chocolate and model railroading, and love for both family and sports…Go Gators! Bill is preceeded in death by, his parents Bill and BettyLou Wynne of St. Petersburg, FL; and brother, Kirk Wynne of LaGrange.
A beloved husband and father, Bill is survived by, his wife, Pamela; daughter, Venessa Collins of Alpharetta, GA; and his 3 feline children, Jake, Sophie and Bella; sisters, Beverly Ritter of St. Louis, MO, and Louise Smith of Gainesville, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 3-5 p.m. on Sunday, July 26, 2009 at Blount Curry Funeral Home Carrollwood Chapel, with funeral services being held on July 27, 2009, at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery.
