Police seek bank robber

Police are looking for a man who robbed a LaGrange bank after asking to cash a check.

LaGrange officers said the man in his 20s entered the BB&T at 310 Broad St. about 10 a.m. Monday and asked to cash a check. He went outside to retrieve his ID, waved at someone while on his cell phone and walked back inside, producing a note telling the cashier he wanted money. He gave no indication that he was a rmed, police said.

The robber was given an undisclosed amount and fled on foot toward LaGrange College.

The dark-skinned black man was described as about 5 feet, 6 inches tall, and weighing 130 to 140 pounds. He was wearing baggy blue pants, a lighter blue shirt, an Atlanta Braves baseball cap and a white “do-rag” under the cap.
