Everybody hates taxes. These are difficult times and the needs of our people are daunting.
I listened to the “Tea Party” attendees on NPR and found their complaints passionate but vague. I wonder if those receiving Social Security would choose to do without it? Would those over 65 care to surrender their Medicare cards? How about the folks who have lost their jobs, would they be willing to refuse unemployment compensation?
Those who are morbidly obese among their number may be the very ones who are crashing our present health-care system. Would they be willing to go no a serious weight loss program?
It’s so easy to snipe and criticize. One Tea Party guest thought that Rep. Joe Wilson did absolutely the right thing when he yelled out “Liar!” to the President during his speech at an official gathering of the U.S. Congress. How can such a rude, disrespectful act be condoned by someone so patriotic?
Despite the civility and grace of our legally elected president, the ugly and hateful response to him seems to have racial overtones. Is that true? Let’s work on Americanism that seeks for solutions.

I am against Pelosi, Reed, Frank and the others on the far left that are doing their best to drag the country down a path the the majority are not in favor of. So, I guess that has "racial overtones," too?
Address the issues of huge government, a tripled national debt and growing dependence on government programs and try to keep race out of it.
