Ms. Sandra Danise ‘Sandy’ Heard of 119 Old Airport Road, Apt. 143, passed away Friday at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Ms. Heard, a native of LaGrange, was born November 17, 1958 and was the daughter of Oscar and Mary Ann Heard. She moved to New York at an early age and graduated from Carnarsie High School in Brooklyn.She was a sportsman and played softball, handball, paddle ball and bowling.She became the mother of two beautiful sons, Dean and Damon. She enjoyed travelling and loved get-togethers with family and friends.She was the organizer of the family reunions and was the family spokesperson. She worked for J. P. Morgan Chase in New York and later returned to LaGrange where she always wanted to live. Sandy loved her family, her ‘baby boys’, her friends and the Lord.

Survivors include her sons, Dean Culley Jr. and Damon Heard; her father, Oscar (Valerie) Heard; sister, Angela Harrell; brothers, Oscar ‘Buddy’ Heard Jr., Ronald Heard, Charles Hart, Michael Hart; uncles, Columbus (Etrulia) Heard, Arnette Brewer; aunts, Josephine Moss, Mary Lois Stephens, Eloise Parker, Doris Brewer, E-Jean Jones, Phoebe Guise; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and good friends.

The funeral service will be Thursday at 1:30 PM at the Saint Paul C.M.E. Church in Gabbettville. Rev. G. L. Fanning will officiate. Burial will be in the Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will be at their home.
