Alesha Heard was crowned as homecoming queen at Troup High School at halftime of Friday night’s football game.

First runner-up was Erica Lindsey Rutland, while second runner-up was Melissa Cotney.

Named as princesses were Taylor Morris, ninth grade; Tanisha Jackson, 10th grade; and Madeline Headrick, 11th grade.

Winners were crowned by principal Michael Lehr and 2008 queen Morgan Alise.
