A parade through downtown Franklin is planned at 4 p.m. today, with school board Chairman Tim Holtzclaw as grand marshal. Afterward the cheerleaders have scheduled a rubber duck race down the Chattahoochee River for a $500 prize.
A community pep rally begins at 6:45 p.m. Friday in preparation of the Braves game with the Jordan Red Jackets at 7:30 p.m. at Staples Stadium.
A homecoming queen and king will be chosen from the senior homecoming court of six male and six female students – McKenzie Benefield, Caitlin Thompson, Laci Emory, Blake Alford, Hannah Burson, Brooke Jackson, Adam Cannon, Santez Emory, Brandon Buchannan, Bryan Dunson, Kevin Welch and Jeremiah Hill.
The queen will be crowned during halftime, while the king is to be crowned at a school pep rally Friday afternoon. A dance for students will be held after the game.
