A ribbon cutting was held Wednesday at the West Point campus of Columbus State University at 405 W. Eighth St.

Taking part were Troup County Commission Chairman, CSU President Tim Mescon, West Point Mayor Drew Ferguson and Susan Lanier. CSU was founded in Lanier’s father’s mill.

The event was co-sponsored by the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce and the Harris County and Greater Valley Chambers. CSU is a member of all three organizations.
