Mrs. Ora Lee ‘Bubba’ Arrington, 90, of LaGrange passed away Sunday, November 8, 2009, at West Georgia Medical Center.

Mrs. Arrington was born March 29, 1919 in Randolph County, Alabama, daughter of the late Sanford David and Lola Lou McWhorter Shelnutt. She was a member of Unity Baptist Church, and was the co-owner of Friendly Appliance.

Survivors include her son, Robert L. Arrington Sr. of LaGrange; grandchildren and a granddaughter-in-law, Geoffrey and Tracy Arrington of LaGrange, Elizabeth Ann Arrington and Robert Lee Arrington Jr., both of Newnan, Adam L. Arrington, and Jan Marie Arrington, both of LaGrange; 11 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter; sister, Irene Jackson of Cedartown; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Carlton Yarbrough and Janice and Jerry Watson. She was preceded in death by her husband, George Howell Arrington Sr.; a son, George Howell Arrington Jr.; and a daughter, Lola Marie Arrington.

Funeral services for Mrs. Arrington will be 11:00 Tuesday at Unity Baptist Church with Rev. Doug Bingham and Rev. Bobby Robinson officiating. Interment will be at Shadowlawn Cemetery.

The family will be at her home at 509 Jefferson Street and will receive friends at the funeral home this evening from 6:00 until 8:00.
