Police said the first holdup occurred about 6:15 p.m. in Fuller Superette at 900 Hamilton Road.
A male wearing a ski mask walked inside carrying a shotgun, pointed it at an employee and demanded money. He was given all the cash from the register, and the employee chased him from the store.
The second robbery was about 6:35 p.m. at Bay Food Store at 1312 Hamilton Road.
Officers said a male wearing a dark, hooded jacket walked inside carrying a handgun, demanding money from the cash register. He was given an undisclosed amount and fled.
“At the moment, we don’t have any indication that they were” related, LaGrange police Sgt. Roger Pointer said. “It’s still under investigation.”
