Mrs. Cone Keaton was born July 6, 1920, in Wedowee, Alabama, daughter of the late James Monroe and Mary Ella Sikes French. She was a member of Sandy Springs United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel W. Keaton Sr. of Sandy Springs; daughter and son-in-law, Annette Cone-Skelton and J. Robert Hipps of Atlanta, son and daughter-in-law, Roger K. and Christine P. Cone of Marietta, and Charles A. Cone of Atlanta; stepsons and stepdaughter-in-law, Samuel W. Keaton Jr. of Decatur, Alabama, and Stuart W. and Jennifer H. Keaton of Marietta; grandchildren, Stephanie Cone Helland of Atlanta, Jared L. Skelton of Suwanee, Shea Cone Kaliher of Watkinsville, Samuel P. Cone and Matthew C. Cone both of Marietta, and step-grandson, Gerritt Keaton of Decatur, Alabama; five great-granddaughters, Alison Simmons, Avery Streetman, Mia Streetman, Karsyn Skelton and Karaline Skelton; sisters, Lavelle Langley of Roanoke, Alabama, Frances Johnson of McDonough, Helen Moring of Roanoke, Alabama; brother, Hammett French of Orangeburg, South Carolina, She was preceded in death by her first husband of 59 years, Robert Keith Cone.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Monday at the Hunter-Allen-Myhand Chapel with Rev. Renfroe Watson officiating. Interment will be at Hillview East Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 until 2:00 Monday before the service.
