The instruments are being tuned and the auditorium is set for the LaGrange Symphony Orchestra’s annual Christmas concert at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Callaway Auditorium.

Titled “Christmas with the LSO,” it will include the LaGrange College Singers and the Long Cane Middle School Chorus along with the orchestra, led by Patricio Cobos.

Lynda Brock, LSO operations manager and second flutist, said, “This annual event will be extra special this year as we are being joined by the choruses from the college and the middle school.”

The orchestra will perform a number of religious and secular holiday selections, and the choruses will perform separately and together.

“Christmas is just a beautiful time of year, and the music is so pretty. It is just going to be amazing,” Brock said.

Advance tickets are available from the symphony office by calling (706) 882-0662. Tickets also will be sold at the Callaway Auditorium box office beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday. Doors open at 7 p.m.

Adult tickets are $25 for mezzanine seating and $15 for orchestra and gallery. Seats in the first four rows of the orchestra section are $5. All tickets for students sixth grade and above are $5. Children fifth grade and younger are admitted free with an adult.
