A Mooty Bridge Road woman called police after she found a man hiding in her teenage daughter’s closet wearing nothing but his underwear.

Police said the woman had heard strange noises coming from the 17-year-old’s room about 1:15 a.m. today and found the man in the closet. She said she was calling the police, and the man fled. The girl said the man could have entered through the bedroom window.

Horse gets loose on city street

A horse was found roaming Cleveland Avenue near Hogansville Road.

A resident who called police was holding the horse’s halter in the rain when officers arrived about 7:30 p.m. Monday. They took control of the animal and attempted to speak with its keepers in the 200 block of Cleveland Avenue.

The keepers told police the horse was tied up in the back yard after having been taken from its owners in the county due to mistreatment. The animal had been in the city for a few days.
