Police were looking today for two men who robbed RBC Bank at 1417 Lafayette Parkway about 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the men walked up to two tellers and each handed them a similar note reading, “Give me $5,000 cash, no dye packs. I am armed, and I will shoot you.”

The men then handed them large, yellow envelopes, and the tellers placed an undisclosed amount of money on top of them. The robbers ran out the front door and headed toward South Davis Road.

Both men were black, in their early 20s and wore blue jeans.

One was described as 6 feet tall, with light skin, clean shaven, wearing a white hat and a yellow jacket with an orange shirt under it.

The other was about 5-feet-10 with dark skin, wearing a blue and black jacket along with a blue Nautica cap covering either cornrows or an afro.

One of the robbers may have red stains on his clothes or body from a dye pack placed in the money.

Anyone with information was asked to call police at (706) 883-2630 or Troup County CrimeStoppers at (706) 812-1000.
