Two men have been indicted in the shooting death of a convenience store clerk in LaGrange last fall.

The murder case was among the 86 indictments returned this week for the February term of Troup County Superior Court.

Christopher Lee Caruso, 18, and Rodrea Kenyatta Harris, 37, both of LaGrange, were indicted on murder and armed robbery char-ges in the Nov. 14 shooting death of Joseph “Peace” Boison, 55, a clerk at Shell Food Mart at 505 Vernon St.

Police said Caruso pulled the trigger and Harris helped plan the robbery.

The two also were indicted for a Nov. 10 armed robbery and aggravated assault at Bay Food Store on Hamilton Road, a Nov. 9 burglary at Shannan’s Auto Sales on Whitesville Road, the theft of a 1992 Nissan Quest minivan on Nov. 13 and entering an auto.

Caruso was indicted for an Oct. 15 burglary at West Georgia Technical College and the Nov. 9 theft of a laptop computer owned by the college, in addition to weapons violations, financial transaction card fraud and entering an auto.

In another case, Angalovonne “Angie” Snow, 58, of Troup County was indicted on a charge of theft by conversion that was presented to the grand jury by state Assistant Attorney General Kimberly Schwartz and David Ostrander, a special investigator for the Georgia Department of Community Health.

Angie Snow Ministries, registered in Lithonia, had a $50,000 contract with the Department of Community Health for breast cancer-related programs funded by breast cancer license plates. It was to be paid in two installments of $25,000 each, but she received only the first payment and converted an undisclosed amount of that for personal gain, attorney general’s spokesman Russ Willard said.

“Her contract detailed things she was going to do in terms of community involvement and referring individuals for mammograms,” Willard said.

A warrant has been issued for Snow’s arrest, but she is believed to have moved out of Georgia, Willard said.

In another case, Eric Demond Bailey, 26, of LaGrange was indicted on charges of aggravated assault, false imprisonment, battery and two counts of cruelty to children. Police said he threw an electric fan into a woman’s bathwater while she was in the tub.

Indicted on armed robbery and aggravated assault charges were Akeen Jamal Kennedy, 19, Devante Sharmarcus Jones, 17, and Ron-tavious Walker, 17, all of LaGrange. They allegedly stole a man’s wallet while pointing a gun at him on Oct. 26.

Joshua Paul Ellison, 19, of LaGrange was indicted on two counts each of armed robbery, burglary and false imprisonment, three counts of aggravated assault and one count of entering an auto. Police said the armed man broke into the home of two women on North Street and robbed them, and broke into their car as well. The other burglary occurred at a residence on Old West Point Road where Ellison allegedly fired a gun in the victim’s direction.

Alesha Michelle Dawson, 18, of West Point and Stacy Raymond Potts, 28, of LaGrange were indicted on charges of armed robbery, aggravated assault and two counts of burglary.

Willie Eugene Davis, 35, of LaGrange was indicted on charges of aggravated sexual battery, six counts of child molestation, two counts of aggravated child molestation, and one count each of rape and aggravated sodomy.

A 44-year-old LaGrange man was indicted on reckless conduct charges for allegedly having sexual intercourse with a woman without telling her he was infected with the AIDS virus.

Eight inmates at the Troup County Correctional Institute were indicted for having cell phones, and two other inmates were indicted for marijuana possession.

Arraignments are scheduled for Feb. 9 and Feb. 11, and trials for the weeks of Feb. 16, March 22, April 12 and April 26.
