The Callaway Cavaliers are rolling again.
After suffering through a stretch where they dropped four out of five games to fall out of first place in Region 5-AA, the Cavaliers have now won three straight games, and they head into the final week of the regular season riding a wave of momentum.
The latest win came Saturday night when the Cavaliers thumped the visiting Crawford County Eagles 79-66.
Junior Quan Bray had a huge game with 28 points, while Quantavius Leslie scored 22 points.
Point guard Terrance Jackson added 11 points.
The Cavaliers (14-6 overall) improved to 9-5 in region play, and they’re alone in third, three games behind Manchester and Spencer.
The best-case scenario for the Cavaliers is to win their final two region games this week and earn the No. 3 seed for next week’s region tournament.
The Cavaliers visit Pike County Tuesday before hosting Macon County on Friday.
Callaway’s girls’ team had its hands full with a Crawford County team that hasn’t lost a region game all season.
The Lady Eagles improved to 14-0 in region play with a 74-35 win.
