It was cold, but it was dry and spirits were high Saturday as the Troup County Parks and Recreation Commission baseball and softball seasons kicked off. Hundreds of players in a number of age groups will hit the fields at Shuford Fields, the George F. Harris Baseball Complex, and ballfields across the county in the next few months.
