Ashley Bernard Hubbard, formerly of LaGrange, passed away Friday in Savannah.

Mr. Hubbard, a native of Chambers County, Alabama, was born February 28, 1962 and was the son of Lizzie Mae Hubbard and the late Fuller Hubbard. He was a graduate of Troup High School and joined at an early age the New Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in West Point. He was an auto mechanic.

Survivors include his mother, Lizzie Mae Hubbard; two sons, Ashley Lamar and Martavius Bernard Hubbard; one daughter, Nortashley Fanae Hubbard, all of LaGrange; three sisters, Ollie Marie (Ronnie), Savannah, Ga., Jacquline Hubbard, Jacksonville, Fla., Patricia Hubbard (Charlie), LaGrange; three brothers, Fuller Hubbard Jr. (Janice), Boston, Mass., Harold Hubbard, West Point, Albert Hurston, LaGrange; uncles, Joseph (Enna Ree), Michigan, Thomas Hubbard, LaGrange, Jesse Hurston, Michigan, Arthur Hurston, Boston, Mass.; aunts, Annie Johnson, West Point, Mattie (Henry) Johnson, Atlanta, Nancy Varner, Macon, Ga., Rose Lee Dardy, West Point; nine grandchildren, Ja’Niya, TaKiyah Harrison, Jaylin, McKenzie, Martavius Jr., Jayden, Heaven Samone, Zamyia, Tyanna Hubbard, all of LaGrange; special friend, Katherine McFerson, LaGrange; many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Gloria Ann Hubbard and grandmother, Mary Cotton.

The funeral service will be Friday, April 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in West Point. Rev. W. T. Edmondson will officiate. Burial will be in the Union Springs Cemetery.

The family will be at their home at 968 Drummond Road.

Lakes-Dunson-Robertson Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
