A Front Street man has been charged in the armed robbery of a 21-year-old in the 200 block of Strong Street.

Police said Donald Turner, 32, was one of three men who allegedly held the victim down with a gun to the back of his head while taking $100 from his pockets and a $200 speaker box from his car about 9:45 p.m. Monday.

The victim told officers he was visiting a female friend at the address when he was asked to leave. As he left, three men came from behind the residence and held him down with shotguns. One of the men hit him in the face with one of the firearms, causing him to fall down on the porch.

One of the thieves took off the victim’s pants while looking for items. The victim then drove home to call police, saying the men smashed his cell phone on concrete.

Turner was charged with armed robbery, aggravated assault and entering an auto.

Police issued warrants for Tamarcus Harrison, 18, of Woodridge Circle in conjunction with the robbery. Officers have not identified the third suspect.
