Hydrocodone taken
LaGrange police are investigating two cases of prescription hydrocodone being obtained at pharmacies by someone other than to whom it was prescribed.
A 29-year-old woman told police Friday that she had received a prescription for the drug, a narcotic, after dental work. When she went to the pharmacy, the CVS on Roanoke Road, she was told it had already been picked up by someone else. The woman told police she suspected her father’s girlfriend, who had a history of prescription drug abuse, picked up the medication because the suspect had been with her when she got the prescription. A check of pharmacy surveillance tape showed a woman who matched the victim’s de-scription picking up the drug.
In the second case, a 28-year-old man told police Friday that a friend picked up his prescription at the CVS on Greenville Street without his permission. A check of surveillance tapes at that pharmacy showed a man matching the victim’s description getting the drug.
