Mrs. Alsabrook was born July 6, 1919, in Carroll County, GA, daughter of the late Charlie T. Saxon and Exa Thomas Saxon. She had worked for Milliken Elm City Plant as an inspector and was a beautician before retiring. She was Methodist by faith. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Alsabrook was also preceded in death by her husband, Grover W. Alsabrook, and a daughter, Linda Bass.
Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Thompson of Franklin, GA and Shirley Adams and her husband Larry of Fredonia, AL; six grandchildren, Chris Bass, Paige Bass Brown and her husband Stacy, Renee Adams, Kim Perry, Ricky Ray and his wife Susan, and Scotty Ray and his wife Leuann; six great grandchildren; one sister, Verma Farlow of East Point, GA; and former son-in-law and very special friend, Jackie Arrington.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 in Shadowlawn Cemetery.
The family will be at the home of her granddaughter and grandson-in-law, Paige and Stacy Brown, 696 Teaver Road, LaGrange, GA and will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.
