I just want to thank the staff of the LaGrange Daily News for the wonderful coverage you have given my retirement. You all went above and beyond to cover the history of my career at the LaGrange-Troup County Chamber of Commerce. The entire staff has been wonderful to work with over the years and has always been fair in the coverage of events and news that has been covered over my 35 years.
You were far too generous in your depiction of my career. As I have told everyone, I was just part of many wonderful teams that had visions and great ideas for America’s Greatest Little City. By the way, that catch phrase was started by a past chairman of the chamber, J. Pearce Cleaveland Jr.
As everyone knows, no one person does it all. Without a great staff, dedicated board members and supportive chamber of commerce members, we have accomplished many things and there are many more to accomplish.
Thank you to all of you who have played a part in making my career at the chamber of commerce so wonderful. I would not have traded places with anyone and I look forward to continuing my involvement with the Development Authority of LaGrange.
Jane L. Fryer, president
LaGrange-Troup County
