Hogansville police, who described the injuries as serious, said the incident was under investigation and no details were available. The girl, whose name was unavailable, was airlifted to Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta at Egleston.
Hit-and-run
A car leaving the parking lot of Speedy Serve at 201 Whitesville Road on Friday afternoon struck the passenger side of another vehicle pulling into the lot and fled. No one was injured, and damage to the other vehicle was more than $500, police said.
Thefts
• A woman’s live-in boyfriend allegedly stole $100 from her purse in her residence in the 100 block of West Meadow Way after an argument Friday night. The man was charged with strong arm robbery.
• A thief stole a Winchester rifle valued at $500 from a truck in the 200 block of Main Street on Friday night.
• A thief stole Sony amplifiers and speakers valued at $400 from a car in the 100 block of Lafayette Court on Saturday morning.
Fake money
A man tried to use a counterfeit $50 bill to buy a DVD at Video Warehouse at 104 N. Morgan St. on Friday night. Employees immediately recognized the bill as a fake and told the man they were calling police. He then fled in an vehicle, police said. No arrests have been made.
Accident
Latasha Williams, 20, of Houston Street was treated at West Georgia Medical Center and released Friday night for back injuries suffered during an accident at the intersection of Vernon and North Lee streets. Williams had stopped at the intersection when another car struck her vehicle. The other driver was uninjured.
