Mrs. Mary Jim Washington, 78, of LaGrange, died Wednesday, December 10, 2008 at Hospice LaGrange.

Mrs. Washington was born November 26, 1930 in Roanoke, AL, daughter of the late Fred Jenkins Bailey and Nannie Sue Jackson Bailey. She had lived in LaGrange most of her life and was a member of East Vernon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by a son, Glenn Washington.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Washington; son and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Cathy Washington and Nancy Washington, all of LaGrange; sisters, Maxine Breed of Roanoke, AL and Glynis Perdue of LaGrange; brothers, Wayne Bailey of Columbus, and Jerome Bailey of Decatur, IL; grandchildren, Jessica and Brad Folds, Josh Washington, Katie and Brent Nations, and Emily Washington, all of LaGrange; great-grandchildren, Makayla and Morgan Wyatt Folds, Joseph Washington, and Tyson Nations.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 13, 2008 at Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, La-Grange Chapel with Rev. Dwayne Perdue and Rev. Ronnie Puckett officiating. Entombment will follow in Restlawn Memory Gardens Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.
