The 17 ornament contributors transformed 48” round bases into one-of-a-kind expressions of the season. With no specific theme but the holidays, they were encouraged to use their imaginations to create the over-sized holiday ornaments, said Suzanne Foody, executive director.
Entries include an angel with real feathers on its wings, a Santa seen through a window, jolly snowmen and even a Celtic-themed ornament.
First place winner Todd Stephens won a $200 downtown gift certificate and runner-up Jayme Ogles a $100 certificate.
“You don’t want to miss this display of creative talent shown on the square this season,” Foody said.
The ornaments will be on display through Dec. 31.
