In the boys’ game, the Warriors got 18 points from Hunter Jones on the way to a 79-48 victory.
In the girls’ game, Marina Wilkerson scored 20 points in a 57-42 win.
The Lady Warriors were clinging to a 13-8 lead, but they dominated the second period and were up 37-17 at the half.
“I thought we played great. We had great energy,” LaGrange Academy head coach Rorie Bradley said. “We really shot well, we defended well, and we rebounded well. It was a great all-around game.”
Molly Child and Dagny Langford each added 10 points for the Lady Warriors (6-3), who improved to 3-1 in GISA Region 4-AA.
In the boys’ game, the Warriors (6-3) were never threatened in improving to 2-2 in region play.
Jordan Ring added 13 points for the Warriors, while Drew Moody and Bo Heath scored 11 and 10, respectively.
“I didn’t feel we played well the last two games, and we had a tough two days of practice,” Academy head coach Matt Dalrymple said. “I was excited that they played well because they worked so hard.”
LaGrange Academy’s teams are off until Dec. 27 when they participate in the Tatnall Square tournament.
