Don’t forget salvation

Dear Editor:

I was reading the letters to the editor and saw several going both ways, about this country being founded on Christianity. I am concerned that Christianity and our Lord are being reduced to political tools for both sides of the argument.

I am not a preacher. However, according to doctors and some very expensive medical equipment, I should be dead right now. Even if my body didn’t die, my brain should have died. I am a walking, talking miracle. Let’s not get so caught up in our own “causes” that we lose our salvation. When we keep our faith in our Lord, everything else will fall into place.

More religious people should realize that, when you want laws to reflect your religious beliefs (anti-gay,e.g.) You are making your belief a tool for those who will use it against you.Politicians have made patriot a bad label and you need to perk up your ears when you hear "family values" or faith-based this or that.Treasure your salvation but keep it private, not for exploitation by hacks who owe what feeble allegiance they have to corporations.
