Tift County Superior Court Judge Gary McCorvey said Friday at the sentencing he considered it the “most severe punishment” he could give Underwood.
Underwood is one of four people charged in the killings of six men and injuring of at least six others during a string of violent home invasions in 2005.
Underwood pleaded guilty in September to all four indictments against him and was sentenced at the time to 120 years without parole on three of the indictments.
The sentencing on the fourth indictment was delayed because prosecutors sought the death penalty.
