A LaGrange man got a 15-year prison sentence Friday after he pleaded guilty to obstruction of an officer and two shoplifting charges.

They were the latest in a string of at least eight shoplifting convictions for Bernard Warren Gilliam, 41, who took eight hanging plant baskets valued at $114 from the front of LaGrange Farmers Market on Greenville Street, and some Actifed and Aleve from Piggly Wiggly on South Greenwood Street.
